DESCRIPTION:Labyrinth Walk\nGuest speaker: Margaret Rainbird \n\nEvery year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. We will be holding our celebration on the first Sunday in May with Dr Margaret Rainbird leading us on an indoor Labyrinth walk in the large Hall of the Mid Mountains Community Centre in Lawson. \nMargaret has had a 20+ year relationship with the labyrinth as a path for walking\, meditation and healing. \nIf you haven’t walked a labyrinth previously\, try to arrive about 10 mins early so Margaret can take us through some general guidelines about walking in a group.  There will be a discussion afterwards followed by afternoon tea. \nA labyrinth is available for study\, research and fun in the eastern part of Centennial Park in Paddington. \n\nCosts: To attend our monthly meetings is just $5.

Using our pendulums and dowsing tools to test\, we will get an\nunderstanding of how we can make simple changes to enhance our well-being. \nJane has been interested in dowsing for most of her adult life. DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker: Sasha Ivanovich (Karma Palden Dorje) – Meditation Master and founder of Earth Warriors\nSasha will be talking about the challenge of ‘our current and unique Planetary Moment’ \nSasha was born Croatia and lives in Sydney.  He has taught mediation and conducted mediation retreats over 40 years and is a lifetime student of eastern and western philosophies and pathways to healing and insight through meditation and self-realisation.  His connections to Indian spirituality run deep\, being invited by HH Swami Satyananda to participate in and teach in Swami’s Australian tour yoga teaching events\, and received various Mahayana Buddhist initiations including the Kalachakra Initiation conducted by HH Dalai Lama in NY in 1991. \nAs a practicing award winning architect\, Sasha has been campaigning for action on Climate Change since 2011.  He was active in the first Sydney based Moratorium against the Vietnam War\, and was an organizer for Action for Peace against the first and second Iraq Wars.   He continues campaigning against war and  against the war in the Middle East and Ukraine. \n“War is a failure\, a response to conflict bereft of high mind thinking” \nHe established the Eye of the Sun Meditation Centre situated on the Hawkesbury River NSW Australia in 1973\, then the ‘not for profit personal development Earth Centre’\, Anduril\, operating in Western Australia.   He was made West Australian convener for the Scotland based Findhorn Foundation\, Board Chair of the Sophia College for Alternative Counselling\, teaching Buddhist philosophy. \n

These will include the energetic aspects of the labyrinth\, partly gleaned from personal experience as well as generous insights from fellow labyrinth builders and dowsers in Scotland and Ireland.\n\n“I was initially drawn to the labyrinth as a path for walking meditation as I found it difficult to quiet my mind if sitting. Turned out to be much more but that is easier to talk about than to encapsulate in a couple of lines. I’ve also had a lifelong interest in healing.
